The average Quebecois is the greatest waste producer in THE WORLD! To this day, our industry is a reflection of this reality. As a consequence, and above all because there is no way to avoid it, our building approach includes periodic experimentation with new techniques that are compatible with sustainable development.
Here are the various aspects of that approach:
- As selective as possible deconstruction during demolition work, and bin system for new construction work. Selection is done as follows either by our own staff, or with the help of businesses in our professional recyclers data bank:
Ferrous and nonferrous metal: recycling
Windows / doors / integrated furniture: salvaging
Bricks and concrete: recycling (civil engineering), masonry warehouse
Wood / Gyprock board / others: recycling salvaging .
- " Use of containers for other construction waste to be at least 70% recycled.
- " Special measures inherent to each job site will apply during the work phase. From the simple non-utilization of plastic bags for expendable supplies up to FSC certification (Forest Stewardship Council wood harvested through sustainable forest management) of timber or finish lumber whenever possible, everything is put in motion so that the strength of minor and major actions can contribute to an efficient management of construction materials, particularly of their impact on your health and on the environment.
